Visitors of all ages will enjoy Expanding Visions, Lyme Art Association’s annual member show that showcases the varied artistic visions of our membership. All types of artwork will be celebrated from hyper-realism, abstraction to completely non-representational styles. The exhibit will be juried by Robert Pillsbury, former president of the Salmagundi Art Club NY.

I am thrilled for the opportunity to be back at Lyme Art Association’s historic gallery space and have work exhibited alongside such an impressive group of artists. The Lyme Art Association celebrates the 100th anniversary of the gallery in this year. You can learn about the Association’s rich history and connection with the Lyme Art Colony and Florence Griswold by exploring the fabulous exhibit at the Florence Griswold Museum celebrating our centennial.

Incorporated in 1914, the Lyme Art Association continues the tradition of presenting fine art exhibitions and sales by its artist members in the historic gallery. Exhibitions of Lyme Impressionist paintings began in 1902 and were held every summer in the Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library in Old Lyme until August 6, 1921, when the present Lyme Art Association gallery opened.
